Chiffon-Weave Architecture
The Nocturne is constructed in a multi-layer chiffon-weave with a plain-weave base and structured gauze overlay. The plain-weave geometry produces an open thread matrix at approximately 80 to 100 threads per square inch, delivering a drape coefficient calibrated for controlled luminosity: the fabric descends with intention rather than collapse.
The balloon sleeve is set from a sleeve head with extended volume, engineered to preserve its geometric silhouette independent of arm position. This is not a decorative choice. It is a structural one. The sleeve retains its authority whether raised or lowered.
Dimensional Behavior
The dual-layer construction produces a depth of texture that shifts with the body. In daylight, the weave geometry creates sharp, disciplined precision. Under lower light, the layered chiffon refracts light with controlled luminosity — a quality produced by the low thread density and filament yarn construction, not by surface treatment.
The fabric weight sits at the lower end of the chiffon range, producing a drape coefficient between 25 and 35 percent. This positions the Nocturne at the boundary between fluid and structured: it holds a silhouette without resistance and moves without losing its geometry.
Fit Specification
The Nocturne is cut to a relaxed body with a defined cuff closure at the balloon sleeve. The back seam is positioned for shoulder-blade clearance without excess volume across the upper back.
